Sometimes life can feel very dark when an individual is faced with a cancer diagnosis and journey. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society aims to drive light into that darkness through their Random Acts of Light initiative. Their mission is together, we can bring light to the darkness of cancer.

The LSS regularly hosts Light the Night events encouraging communities across the country to come together with lanterns to remember those lost, encourage and connect those fighting, and celebrate those in remission. What began in 2016 during their Light the Night fundraising campaign, has blossomed into a movement celebrated annually known as Random Acts of Light Day. Initially fans were surprised by their favorite celebrities and local heroes to inspire them to keep fighting and finding the light in the midst of cancer’s darkness. The movement has grown over the years with individuals spreading kindness throughout the day every June 13th.
